The prompts for the week (click on the plus sign):

  • A new wardrobe every season won’t fix your styling problems. And no-one tells you this…

Fasting until 1pm every day won’t make you lose weight in your 50s. And no-one tells you this…

Walking 10,000 steps a day won’t make you stronger. And no-one tells you this…

A little tip: You could do this in a variety of different formats, such as a b-roll reel or as a carousel post. It would also be really fab to do it as a talking head video, with a hook above your head that says (why does no-one tell you how to XXX) Why not set yourself the challenge of re-purposing this piece of content, so plan one style for this week and anohter style for a few weeks time. Save you some content time!

Turn this into an Instagram story. First slide: Connect in with your audience. Show something from your daily life, eg ‘soaked on the dog walk this morning and only managed 3k steps)

Second slide: Thing is though, everyone talks about getting your 10k steps in but that’ll never make you stronger. I used to freak out years ago if I hadn’t done my 10k steps a day, but now instead I know that the one thing that will make me stronger is this…

Third slide: give the advice Fourth slide: link the offer

  • Making sure your content is super savable:

5 places to shop if you love Sezane but don’t have the budget…

5 websites that genuinely make parenting 2 under 2 so much easier…

5 presets you need to download to lightroom immediately…

5 pilates moves that’ll make you stronger if weeks if you do them daily…

Example of this content in the wild:

    https://www.instagram.com/p/DTyN8nNCFFA/?igsh=NGUyYm9tcGVpbmh4

A little tip: In the example above, the creator has used 9. You don’t need to use that many. Just do as many as suits you. I would advise doing it photodump style though, as this can make it highly saveable.

    Caption prompt:

These are the (eg websites) that I literally can’t live without as a (what you call yourself) who___

Any favourites that you’d add to your list too?

Want the full list sending to you directly? Comment XXX and I’ll send you the link!

(whenever you have a longer piece of content, it’s totally fine to have a shorter caption!)

  • I don’t know why my pictures are looking so blurry… I don’t know why I’m feeling so angry every morning… I don’t know why pilates doesn’t work for my body… I don’t know why I feel so frumpy in barrell leg jeans…

Example of this content in the wild:

    https://www.instagram.com/p/DT5jY2ckRKB/?img_index=1&igsh=cmZmcjB4czE4MGY5

A little tip: You want to use this photodump carousel to showcase your skills. So the ‘I don’t know’ is going to share something obvious they’re thinking (eg that pilates doesn’t work for their body) and the subesequent slides will show them why that is and how some very small tweaks can help them to be able to get it to work for them.

Caption prompt to use: Ok time for a bit of honesty? XXX will never work for you if xxx Everywhere online loves to tell you that (to achieve this) you have to (do this). Thankfully you’ve just landed on the side of the internet that’ll gladly tell you that that is a lie. It’s honestly no wonder that (this is happening) and you feel (this) when our feeds are full of (that) Follow (@ your account) to know exactly how to x without Y. You’re safe here!

  • Stuff having to out the baby down ‘drowdy but awake.’ It never works. Here’s 5 ways to get your 3 month old sleeping in their crib without anyone crying.

Stuff silly package holidays and their overpriced hotels. Here’s what to actually search for if you need two weeks peace and quiet and like the finer things in life this summer…

Stuff needing to book expensive reformer classes for pilates to work. Here’s 3 moves to do with a mat and ball that’ll cost you £5.

Stuff wearing blazers and heels to feel professional in your brand photos. Here’s 5 outfits you can pull together from your wardrobe to make you feel 🔥

Example of the piece of content in the wild: https://www.instagram.com/p/DTNzrrMAk09/?igsh=d3l3dnJoaWVhYzVr

A little tip: The reason this piece of content in the example has done so well is because it uses a relatable image, as well as relatable language. Don’t be afraid to have an experiment with that for your own content. It’s a style that’s working and resonating so well at the moment.

  • How old were you when you realised that the problem isn’t the jeans, it’s how you’re styling them? How old were you when you realised that one orange a day could literally halve your cortisol levels in 5 minutes? How old were you when you realised that adding an egg to your toddler’s porridge would stop them asking for snacks?

Example of this content in the wild https://www.instagram.com/reel/DTgz1dEkXc_/?igsh=MnJydHVnZnRxb2Vv‍ ‍

A little tip: make sure that the imagery you’re using on screen totally matches your hook on screen. You want people to be able to not read your caption or to be able to watch with the sound off and to totally be able to understand what the content is about/ pointing towards.

Turn this into a storytelling email: SUBJECT LINE: why have I only just realised this? Then use the messaging mender to input the following: Please take my instagram hook examples above and my own version here: INSERT. I would like you to write a storytelling email, less than 500 words, to share with my audience a very easy hack to help them to (achieve this) I would like you to chat like we’re at brunch and make sure each paragraph isn’t too long for readability. I’d like you to point them towards my (xxx offer)

  • I wish more women with ADHD knew that one piece of chewing gum could give them enough dopamine to avoid having a full blown toddler tantrum when they feel overwhelemed. I wish more ovulating women knew that just adding greek yoghurt to two meals a day would give them enough protein to stablise their blood sugar and increase their chances of conception by x % I wish more mums of toddlers knew that cuddling before playing is the reason some kids play independently and others don’t. I wish more beginner photographers knew to do this 30 second lightroom adjustment anytime their photos felt too flat.

Example of this content in the wild:

    https://www.instagram.com/reel/DTxvaLxkdCT/?igsh=b284eDltcXVzaGF4

A little tip: This works really well as a b-roll style reel. The reason that the example one has done so well is because the peeling of the orange acts as a visual hook. You think ‘ooh what’s going to happen?’ So in the photography example above, it could be you filming yourself tweaking the setting on lightroom on your desktop so that we can see what you’re doing and show the after image. Wherever you can add interest for the filming = more watch time = more reach.

Caption prompt: This is your sign To finally (do this) all because you decide to (do that) Other really useful things to try if you’re finding that (this is happening) and (this isn’t) thing 1. thing 2. thing 3. For more support with (doing this) follow (@ your handle) or comment xxx to receive my (eg free guide ) to finally (achieve this).

  • 1 Carousel idea: Things that will make you follow/unfollow me

This is a huge trend on TikTok, which is only just starting to come over to Instagram, so jump on it and get ahead of the curve! It’s a great one to make as a quick carousel in Instagram (super easy to edit) and is perfect as Growth, Nurture AND Sales Content - the hook and potential talking points will encourage engagement to make the algorithm push it out to new people, but it also helps your existing followers get to know you a little better! Plus, it explains your unique approach, which always helps potential customers go ‘oh this is the person for me’.

    How to make this carousel:

    • Write a list in your notes app of 6-8 things that you strongly believe in/think that could potentially be divisive/talking points but that you would want your potential customers/followers to feel the same way about.

    • It’s good to have a mix of things that are sort of fundamental and align with your brand values, as well as a couple thrown in that are a little more lighthearted. For example, I’ve seen lots ranging from ‘I believe in gentle parenting’ to ‘The dress was White and Gold not Blue and Black’ so try to mix it up a bit in terms of how serious your subject matter is 😂. Start your opinions with We/I believe… / We do/don’t / We/I think that…

    • Now choose the same amount of photos from your camera roll that relate to the points or to your business in general (any behind the scenes photos will work for this) as well as one for your starting slide that will have your hook. For this one, make sure it is a photo of yourself - people are much more likely to stop and read!

    • Upload your photos into Instagram as a post and click ‘text’ to add text over the top in the instagram editor. Add your hook in the format ‘Things that will make you either follow or unfollow me/us/my XXX business’. Adding in the type of business you have gives people more context, which is good if your carousel gets pushed out to non-followers.

    • Add in your list of beliefs to the other photos - one per slide - and there you have it!

Here are a few examples I have found on Instagram so far, but as I said this is a very early trend so I can’t find any that have gone viral yet - big opportunity here! I have also included one that is a Reel instead of a carousel, just in case you fancy challenging yourself with a talking reel instead!
